LAMA Annual Meeting

We are thrilled to announce that the Louisiana Archives and Manuscripts Association (LAMA) will host its next Annual Conference virtually (via Zoom) on Friday, November 21, 2025!

This year’s theme, "Reviving Our Roots: Reconnecting Louisiana’s Archival Community", celebrates our renewed commitment to collaboration, community, and the preservation of our shared heritage.

Call for Presentations and Workshops

We invite archivists, librarians, students, researchers, and cultural heritage professionals from across Louisiana to submit proposals for presentations and workshops. Whether you have a new research project, a successful past conference presentation, or an innovative workshop idea, we want to hear from you!

Possible Topics Include (but are not limited to):

Community partnerships and outreach in archives
Rediscovering and preserving local histories
Diversity, equity, and inclusion in archival practice
Digital preservation and access initiatives
Innovative archival projects and technologies
Stories of resilience and renewal in archival institutions
Professional development and mentorship in the field

Submission Guidelines:

Proposals are welcome for individual presentations, panels, and interactive workshops.
Submissions may include previously presented work or new research relevant to the archival field.
Please include a title, a brief abstract (250 words or less), and the names/affiliations of all presenters.
